Marcus Garvey Multi-Media Museum

The only museum of its kind in Jamaica, the Marcus Mosiah Garvey Multimedia Museum (MMGMM) currently houses a permanent exhibition titled Marcus Garvey: The Movement and the Philosophy. On eight interactive touch screens, at the touch of a finger, visitors have access to 3 1/2 hours of information in text, interviews, film, music, and photographs on the life of Garvey. The life of Garvey is represented on the walls inside the museum in three sections: The Early Years, The U.S. years, and the Final Journey.

A guided tour of the Museum also offers the viewing of films and documentaries including: The Mission of Marcus Garvey; The Promised Ship which shows the journey of one Black Star Line ship to Costa Rica; an African Bus Ride through the city of Dakar in Senegal; and films which address issues of Black self identity for teens and children; as well as clips that honour African retentions in Jamaican society.

We cater to children of all age groups and adults. Call us to book your tour now.
